"Dance with me..." Sherlock asked but it sounded more like a demand, "We need to keep appearance and collect more data.."

"Sherlock--" John barely managed as Sherlock swept him off to the dance floor. Sherlock placed his arm around him and John felt awkward, "You know, I'm actually not much of a dancer..."

They swayed and spun around a few times, crossing the floor and passing some people.

Sherlock was casual, "You seem to be doing fine to me..."

John laughed, "Well, I guess it helps having a great partner..." Sherlock looked at him and John coughed before clarifying, "..For dancing.."

Sherlock laughed once and began looking around the dance floor. He was searching for clues pertaining to this case they were undercover for. John tried focusing. The whole idea of this made him nervous to begin with. Even just pretending that he and Sherlock were...He couldn't finish the thought. He kept staring at the consulting detective and losing his focus. Being pressed against Sherlock like this made his heart quicken. His face was turning red and he tried thinking of other things. He didn't want Sherlock to turn around and see him. He was supposed to be looking for clues.

Just as he was having these thoughts, Sherlock's deep voice sounded, "Anything catch your eye yet...?"

"Yes..."

You have no idea... John thought as he continued taking in his features. God, was he attractive. He had to look away when Sherlock faced him.

"I-I mean...No, no, Not yet...Everything seems...normal" His head lowered but his eyes traveled up to view Sherlock again.

Sherlock was eying him, as if he were analyzing him. After a second or two, he nodded, "Right...Keep looking."

This would not get out of my head. I have always wanted to draw them dancing. I referenced a stock image and I've never drawn a pose quite like it before so obviously there are mistakes, forgive me <333

So somehow, whole drawing this, an idea just attacked me with insane levels of cute. Sherlock and John get a case dealing with homosexual people being targets so they go undercover, John, naturally, protesting at first. But its for a case so he goes along with it and having to pretend to be so close to Sherlock forces him to struggle with the untold feelings he has for him. Jawn is having massive Sherlawk feels and doesn't know what to do with them. <3333 Gawd, i almost want to write it.
